Outer Banks Home Builders Association Update May 2016
The theme of the May meeting of the Outer Banks Home Builders Association was Past President’s Night. The meeting featured many past presidents who spoke about the growth of the OBHBA on the Outer Banks. The first President of the Association kicked off the evening with an overview of how they first started in a local hang out over drinks.
Since its creation in 1979 the OBHBA has had 30 presidents. Mark spoke about the two years he served and how under his leadership they purchased the office building and hired the first Government Affairs Director for the Association. Mark reminisced with good friends Duke Geraghty and Dave Stormont about their trips to Raleigh for meetings at the North Carolina Home Builders Association and shared a few stories of their travels.
Sandmark Construction and Custom Homes is proud of the friendships made by the builders and associates that make up this group of professionals, and equally proud of the contributions we’ve made to the association these past twenty years. It was a good time for everyone and lots of laughs!
