Kip and Paula Keperling purchased a custom built Sandmark home in 2003. The home was originally built by Sandmark for George and Judy Bugyi. We met Kip and Paula after they had purchased the home and quickly became great friends. In the fall of 2006, they contacted us about remodeling their beach home and we were excited to see their ideas.They spent a large amount of time in Duck throughout the year and wanted to make this home work for them, their children and grandchildren, along with friends that visit throughout the year.
We brought in Jeff Sawyer, with Sea Swept Designs, to handle the drawings. Kip and Paula were in the building business, owning their own cabinet shop in Pennsylvania, they were knowledgeable about materials and knew what they wanted in their home.
In addition to remodeling the kitchen and existing bathrooms, plans included an expansion on the left side to include a new family room, elevator, master suite, and ground level entrance. On the right-hand side of the home, we added a new swimming pool, decking, and fence.
Kip and Paula retired a few years ago and spend time in both Duck and Pennsylvainia. Currently, they volunteer and work part time. Just the way retirement should be!
