Happy New Year! As we welcome 2025, we want to take a moment to thank our incredible Sandmark community. To our clients, friends, family, and talented subcontractors – you make everything we do possible, and we’re so grateful to have you on this journey with us.
Looking back on 2024, it was nothing short of remarkable! We were honored to win several awards at the Outer Banks Home Builders Association Parade of Homes for the Sullivan family’s custom build in Harbinger. We also completed stunning renovations in Martin’s Point, Southern Shores, Kill Devil Hills, and Nags Head – each project reminding us why we are so passionate about what we do. Looking ahead, we’re thrilled to have broken ground on a new custom home in Kitty Hawk and are excited about everything 2025 has in store!
December Highlights
Last month, we wrapped up the year with a trip to Asheville, NC, for the North Carolina Home Builders Association (NCHBA) 4th Quarter Board Meeting & Installation. This annual gathering brought together industry professionals from across the state to celebrate achievements, plan for the future, and honor excellence in homebuilding.
One of the event’s highlights was seeing Mike Carpenter, the retired Executive Officer of the NCHBA, being inducted into the Housing Hall of Fame. Witnessing this moment and celebrating his contributions to the building industry was a privilege. We also cheered on the installation of the 2025 leadership team, who will continue advocating for builders across North Carolina. Representing the Outer Banks community at this event was an honor, and it reminded us of the incredible network of professionals we’re so proud to be part of.
Our trip also gave us the chance to enjoy Asheville’s holiday magic. Nestled at the historic Omni Grove Park Inn, we were treated to breathtaking views and an atmosphere perfect for recharging. Sandy enjoyed some birthday spa time, while Mark attended the sessions. It was the perfect way to close out 2024, leaving us feeling inspired and ready for what’s ahead.
Cheers to January Milestones
January is a special month for the Sandmark family as we get to celebrate Mark’s birthday! We’re raising a toast to him and all he does for Sandmark and our community. This year, he’s starting his celebration with some well-deserved sunshine and relaxation. Cheers to another fantastic year, Mark!
We’re also celebrating a sweet milestone for little Mia, who’s turning 3 this month. She has brought so much joy to our family since she joined us, and we can’t wait to celebrate her big day. Happy birthday, Mark and Mia!
