I am proud to be a part of a special group of individuals that are planning the 2nd Annual Cancer Shucks! We are looking for sponsors now. If you can’t attend but would like to make a donation we would welcome your donation.
We hope you will support our efforts by being a part of the 2nd Annual Cancer Shucks event! It’s an oyster feast and low country shrimp boil at Pirate’s Cove Pavilion on Friday, October 25th. There will be live music from the Blue Crab Boys and the proceeds will benefit the Outer Banks Health OBX Cancer Cares Fund. This fund supports programs and services that are vital for cancer patients and survivors. In addition to thousands of free cancer screenings annually for members of our community, the OBX Cancer Cares Fund provides patient resources, early detection and educational events, and programs such as Look Good, Feel Better, Cancer Transitions, and a free wig program.
